Our Work in the Community

United Way of Dane County

Named one of the United Way of Dane County's Community Builders, Stark has been a part of the United Way of Dane County since the organization's founding 100 years ago. Our founder, Paul Stark, was elected as the second president of the organization in 1926. The Stark family continues this legacy by volunteering, chairing committees, and through our annual employee fundraiser.

Own It: Building Black Wealth

We are proud to support Own It: Building Black Wealth through their Ambassadors program. Participating agents contribute a portion of each earned closing commission to the organization's Down Payment Fund, which provides down payment grants of $15,000 for families to use towards the purchase of their first home.

Ronald McDonald House

Approximately once a month, agents and staff volunteer to prepare a meal for families at the Ronald McDonald House. This ongoing effort was initiated several years ago by agent Tamie Hanson, who continues to lead the coordination of meals and volunteers.

In addition, Ronald McDonald House was the reciepient of funds raised during our 2023 Stark Community Classic Golf Outing.

The Stark Community Classic is our annual charity golf outing. This year's Community Classic benefitted Badger Childhood Cancer Network. Past recipients have included Ronald McDonald House Madison, One City Schools, Badger Honor Flight, and American Family Children's Hospital.
