The end of summer is a fabulous time for festivals in South Central Wisconsin, with an eclectic lineup of events that include something for every taste. Whether you're in the mood to sample some of the best food in Madison, celebrate all things coffee, savor fresh sweet corn, or enjoy an old Wisconsin turd-ition with the whole family, August has something for you. Here are a few of our favorite festivals coming up this month.
- Sun Prairie Sweet Corn Festival – 200 Park St., Sun Prairie, WI 53590
Every year, more than 80 tons of fresh Wisconsin sweet corn arrive in Sun Prairie for the Sun Prairie Sweet Corn Festival, with this year's event taking place August 13-17, 2025. The festival kicks off with a parade and block party on Wednesday, and the star of the show—fresh, steamed sweet corn—is available Saturday and Sunday, while supplies last.
- Stoughton Coffee Break Festival – Race Track Rd., Stoughton, WI 53589
If you love coffee, you won't want to miss the Stoughton Coffee Break Festival. This event celebrates a local coffee break tradition that dates back more than 100 years, and with a $10 tasting mug, you can sample the best coffee from Wisconsin and points far beyond. The event takes place on August 16, 2025 and features a brew-off, the Cup O' Joe All-Wheels Car Show, arts & crafts vendors, fun competitions, and tasty treats to pair with your coffee.
- Middleton Good Neighbor Festival – 2100 Bristol St., Middleton, WI 53562
The Middleton Good Neighbor Festival has been a beloved event for more than 60 years, and one cool thing about this festival is that it has a new theme every year. This year's festival pairs a pirate theme with all of the activities you love, including a 5K run, art fair, parades, performances, vendors, and delicious food. Middleton Good Neighbor Festival takes place August 22-24, 2025. After many years at Fireman's Park, this year's festival will be held in a new location at South Beach. Ahoy!
